Last week, I was mesmerized with the Queen’s funeral processions. The pageantry and the general public’s sadness was a marvel to behold.
I have always been a big fan of Her Majesty not only because of her strength and bravery but also because of her sense of humor that escaped for public consumption only rarely. I also respected her love of horses and her love of her adorable corgis. Despite my tenacious advocacy, my husband has objected to my getting a corgi or a pony but I will not give up.
I recently read that the queen would not leave the palace without one of her signature Launer handbags. She certainly knew how to accessorize and reportedly owned more than 200 of them. I also read that she used her purses to send messages to staff. In so doing, she would be relieved of uncomfortable meetings or conversations. Very 007 and very clever of her! So now I have yet another reason to respect her legacy. The only thing missing was an Ivy Alexander accessory to keep her favorite Launer bags secure and off the ground. They are truly fit for a queen!
